Blood Diamonds have been used by rebel groups to fuel brutal wars in Africa. These conflicts have resulted in over 4 Million deaths and the displacement of Millions of people in Angola, Sierre Leone, the DRC, Liberia, and now in Ivory Coast. These diamonds have been sold to international diamond dealers giving rebels profits to buy large quantities of small arms. The rebels has multilated more than 20, 000 people, hacking off their arms, legs, lips and ears with Machetes axes.

It is still a problem as the jewelers keeping consumers in the dark, consumers and many others in the diamond industry who turn a blind eye.
