Hello To My All Readers, Please Please Please Read Up Eddyboi’s Entry. If only I could feed the son & daughter with their father’s feces. And if anyone out there in this world happen to read his entry and currently treating their sick parents like this, please wake up and be grateful that the sick parents who never once complain tired are the ones who brought you up! I will kill you!
Ok! Tomorrow is my turn. Oh No. Can I report sick? Can I run away to Malaysia or Indonesia or anyway nearer? Shah, I think my pc or internet got something wrong you know…

eh, can’t wait for ur post…
Itis really sad to hear that there is an alarming trend emerging in societies around the world – people are abandoning the older generation, neglecting them of basic human interaction, denying them of basic human rights and not giving them the love and concern they deserve. And the most ironic thing is that the older generation are the ones who brought us up and made us into what we are today. The act of neglecting them is just like what a Chinese saying goes – demolishing the bridge after you’ve crossed the river.
There are several factors to be blamed for this emerging trend:
1. Urbanisation – in China and other developing countries, there are more and more young people from rural areas migrating to city centres to seek for a better standard of life. The majority of them will leave the older generation behind in fear of them being a burden to seek a better life, and many of them totally forget about them once they become high-fliers.
2.Formation of satellite families. Like in Singapore, HDB flats are well-known for being urban prisons as the unit size prohibits large families from clustering together and encourages the formation of small, nuclear families. This weakens family interactions and might lead to the abandonment of the older generation.
Just my 2 cents.
eddy – nothing special la my post.
teddy –
i think all of them need some counselling!!!!
