I have been busy. Busy with Gem By Gems, how he wants the design & layout to be. Shag! And of course, in order for me to make it happen & start working on it, he agreed to go for photo shooting with me! Yabadabadoo… Shouts To Elfin (if only you got a flickr/photo blog) & Rahim - “Finally Teni agreed! Can I book the both of you again? I also need to test their Nikon DSLR as I am getting one for myself. Woo Hoo!”
I love arts, photography, designing & fashion. I believe in looking good and I am the very vain! Elfin & Rahim shared quite a lot of his knowledge & experiences in photography. Thank you guys! And thank you Sue. Rahim recommended me to buy a photography magazine call – ‘Practical Photography’ but this kiasu Yanni bought a lot more. What to do! The photos, tips are mad! I am keen to learn more anyway, so why not! (Queen Wasting Money – Quoted By Teni)
Actually I got a lot more photography, designing magazines but I chucked it one side. And during that point I was a bit lazy to learn but love to see all the photos in the magazines. I love landscapes. I love the work of Klique Images and if you want to learn more about photography, you may visit Club Snap. See, I am not selfish ok just like the guys. I am looking for a photography buddy, preferably female. Same attitude like me, same passion as me. Of course, I would want to explore and learn more from Elfin & Rahim & many others who’s willing to share. Now, I am patiently waiting for Nikon D80. I would love to get Nikon D300 but I don’t think I should be like mana nya professional photographer lah! Hahah! Irritating!

go shooting the whole day, practice shots sampai your card abes. insyaallah selamaaaaaaaat.
great to know you’re picking up on photography. its a great ‘hobby’ and an expensive one too
ya i heard a lot from the guys they spend thousandssss… among all i prefer digital photo mag, photoshop mag which comes with free cd-rom, i get to learn new techniques.. as for the other mags, i love to see the photos, and they give tips, for a beginner of SLR, i think it might be quite useful… but what u said is also true, i explore my digicam (which got nothing much to explore hahah) that kind of way… snap snap snap ta-da! hahah!!!
your slr is canon is it? what model? share more lah malique.. jgn recommend je tapi tak share more… i tengok dari mags the nikon functions are better, and the white exposure is more cooler and softer..

i dont own a camera anymore. used to work with a 350D and 1D.
the brands have their own pros and cons la. depend on what u like best.
all dslr mahal, kalau ada murah doposen i beli seh! lagi mahal when u tangan gatal nak beli lens tu lens ni, manfrotto tripod. in the end, you tak perasan you just bought a whole studio.
i say go for whatever yanni. tak kisah nikon ke gardenia. its not the tool, its the person controlling the tool. dont be shy to take experimental shots. even if they turn out crap. thats when u learn.
pelan2 nanti u learn to take using manual mode, u;re in control of everything. exposure, shutter, aperture, etc.
im thinking of buying a canon 400D. tapi aku miskin. belikan lah!

i learnt new stuffs yesterday with one of the guys about the lens, mak oi punyalah cekik duit orang.. hahaha!!! nanti i dah beli, i tanya u lagi eh apa yang i tak sure sangat.. thanks malique, once im a millionaire, i will buy for you prime lens, tripod, flash, backdrop, studio + nikon 3d or canon whatever D ok.. hahaha!!! lambat lah…

Im actually after the Nikon SLR 40x.If you want a good deal for cameras.I heard that the Comex fair is a good place to look for one..But I think have to wait next year unless there is one earlier.

You, mak ooii..my hubby dari bulan May mintak that camera. Mahal ooii. Pening kepala. Sometimes bila we go out for let say Vivo ke/Orchard, dia bawak camera gedegak dia. Paiseh tau..
But the finish work is nice.

actually elfin n rahim ah yang recommend tu body nikon d80 and i called elfin yesterday during lunch to talk abt the lens. woohooo!!! tak sabar!!! takpa dia bring in $, you can buy more stuffs. hahahah!!!

i love that outdoor portrait MAGAZINE!!! i think, the MOST difficult picture to take is HUMAN beings!!! im serious… there must be a certain ‘aura’ or angle or whatever… and i believed that when you captured that certain shot of a human being, be it at his / her usual self or those candid shot… i’m just a HUGE FAN!!!! how much are those magazines???

entah eh, for human beings, depends, kalau orang tu suka, then for them shouldnt be troublesome. i mean for us, the beginners confirm susah, cos we need to have good techniques and the photoshop skills must be good. human beings got lots of flaws so thats why need editing… unless muka licin beseri ah…
those mags are below 20 bucks.. get the titles like the ones i got. especially digital photo, they teach u photoshop skills + slr techniques.

eddy, the magazines takda satu pon yang pasal benda lain, its all purely photography n photoshop skills to improve your photographs. quite ex but dont buy so much lah, just buy 1 or 2 every month.
i think u buy digital photo that comes with free photoshop cd or the practical photography mag.

yeah. using the kit lens for now. but it got fungal on it. so i might be buying a newer one next month.. and some other accessories..
how come boleh ad fungal seh? you tak clean up ke regularly?

everyone have their own preferences ah. i love nikon but i love the sharpness of photos produced by canon slrs. get those kits lar. like d40x. i think 350d also good for beginner. i use canon g6 for school and nikon d70 for personal. i’m still eyeing the damn d80. argh! but now, i can’t decide between canon and nikon. nikon has already released the d300 and d3. but i still like canon. *ni lah kalau jadi pompan. mesti indecisive* my canon-loving friends have been trying to tempt me with canon. but the nikonians are making me stay
tapi kan, having the equipments isn’t enough if the person handling the camera takde skills langsung. an infamous and popular fashion photographer uses a p&s camera for his assignments. some of them were for tommy hilfiger, armani ex and gucci. his name is terry richardson. check him out if you like.
i wanted to get the d300 but the body mahal sangat and i think it doesnt matter much cos its the lens yang matters… D3 is the king which like The Zoological yang pakai untuk amek gambar, dont want ah, so big and heavy…
i think d80 is just nice for me, i will get extra lens too. d40x is for beginners, and i dont want to waste anymore money to upgrade it again if let say after 6-8 months i got sick of it…
i read reviews about those cameras, i know Canon is good and more expensive, but i just prefer nikon lah..
and i thought that canon is much cheaper than nikon! i wanted to get a canon initially but buang2 duit ah since my bro’s using a nikon. at least boleh share lenses or other equipments.
