I shouldn’t have gone out last night with Mom cos I ended up in a taxi with my beloved DSLR which I just purchased. I am super happy. I got few free gifts. Hehe! The only thing is I am going to buy the Hoya Filter & one of recommended the prime lens + the SB600 Flashgun. Ok I got to go now. I need a good rest before I fall sick. Must be that Teni lah got flu & fever, then pass to me…

Heheh congrats on your new buy! Play around with the kit lens first. Don’t need to get the 50 1.8 yet, because for tht lens, usable aperture i think is still about 3.5-4. Plus you’ve already got a tripod, so might as well save up for a better lens in the future.

i play ariund with the kit lens already… but i felt its not that enough for me. cos my digi camera the megapixels are greater – 12.1 megapixels. or maybe i dunno some of the techniques yet… nvm i got plenty of time to explore and try different modes… what you said is true, get better lens.
Digicam camera got better megapixels doesn’t mean the camera is good. A camera’s performance is not determined the how many megapixels it offers.
I think what you mean is the zoom right? Yah your kit lens are for wide angle, street and some portrait shots. If you want more zooming flexibility, consider the 70-200mm range since you already have tripod! Cos if you get your 50mm f1.8, you’ll still be stifled by the range. 50mm prime means the focusing is still fixed at 50mm.
If that one still nto enough for you, then you must get the 300-500mm type, macam teropong punye….itu expert pakai untuk nature photography ambik gambar burung!

ya the guys also told me from last time it doesnt mean the megapixels yang make the camera good. its the lens and type of lens you are using…
still exploring, still mastering a few modes… kadang2 i test, i end up laughing myself cos very the slenger… dah expert baru i explore outdoor. kalau tak memalukan… hahaha!!!
Enjoy your journey & just don’t go to the light. The next best thing to do now is to save, beg, borrow or steal enough money to get that a must have AFD 85 1.4!! Nail every shots & make every pics a killer one..

hi there, i get everything for 2000 + bucks.. you can get better price if you pay everything in cash at other photo retail outlets… i think cheapest u can get is 1800 body + kit lens + 1 year local warranty..

Hahah..next up, perhaps i’m getting Sb600 also..and 50mm 1.4(d.o.f gilerrrrr)..if only money can be plucked from treeees..aiyooooo. And if you gonna buy lens, think twice whether you gonna be using it often. I bought 70-300 together when i bought my dslr. Sekarang buat berat ajer dalam beg. Hahah..
