I will be posting an entry about my lousy Tuesday by this week – 20 Jan 09. Clue : SPA! SPA my head ah!

I have been having this stupid problem since I was 22 years old and I have been living with it, putting up with the pain and uncomfort. 2 years back, I have had insomnia for nearly a year. It was hell! My mind kept thinking about dunno what! I just couldn’t sleep. I took pills to make me drowsy every night. It didn’t work. I took two pills at one go, it didn’t work. I tossed and turn like a bitch whose angry with herself and her life. I changed my pillows several times, I changed my pyjamas, I changed the speed of my fan, I changed my sleeping position, I changed my bed position, I switched on and off the air-con, I JUST COULDN’T SLEEP. I woke up the next day feeling so tired, unfresh and I forced myself to go to work everyday. I couldn’t for the day to finish at work. I couldn’t wait for weekends. I couldn’t focus at work. I get angry easily until Teni kept saying ‘Yanni, you are a very angry person’ not only that – ‘Yanni, you always complain that you are ill. Here pain, there pain, this pain, that pain, everywhere pain.’

I changed the furnitures in my room and I even farking changed the paint colour. BUT it didn’t freaking work. Why! I consulted the doctor, she told me to try this and that, nothing works. I lose weight like mad, I weigh 50kg but I kept falling sick, I kept having headaches, low blood pressure, loss of appetite and kept having fever and diarrhoea. I don’t know what exactly was wrong with me! Until I give up, I force myself to eat, quite my previous job and have a healthy non-stress non-irritating colleagues non-pests friends, start to gain few kilos, look chubbier and try to change my temper to nice person at work – no not pretending, but those people who knows me – they know that I’m crazy and temperamental, mean & too outspoken, mouth like laser, never think before I speak, full of sarcasms – that’s my bad side… but the current place only see my good side (until some people did crossed my line but I let them off cos I seriously can’t be bothered anymore. Just don’t push your luck! And try to be rude again – if my ex colleagues, my bestfriend, Teni and whoever knows me saw and heard what happen – they will surely be shocked and maybe proud of me hahahah!). Then, my life was so much better. Couple of months, it came back again. Yes, AGAIN! I can’t sleep peacefully. I kept doing the same thing and it has been affecting my neck, shoulder AGAIN… I was so damn pissed with my life until I finally decide to buy the ‘TEMPUR‘ pillow. I have been wanting to buy this heaven pillow for the past 2 years. But it was so expensive and I resorted to another brand – PLOH which I gotten them for free from my former colleague cos I tried PLOH pillow when my previous company went for a company trip to Beaufort Hotel at Sentosa. The moment I touched the pillow, I went K.O! That’s how comfortable. Her dad worked in Beaufort and he got 2 pillows for me. But after few months sleeping on that pillow before I start gaining few kilos, the pillow became softer and softer until I have to use 2 pillows to rest my head!

Last 2 weeks, Teni and I went to Millenia Walk to survey the price again for Tempur. There was promotion going on for TEMPUR and I just got my salary. This time round, I took my bloody time to try all the different types of TEMPUR pillow just to get the right one, the perfect one. After trying 4 pillows, I chose The Classic Pillow just like our normal pillow but it’s really far different from the normal one. I wasn’t hesitating this time, I told Teni to tell the sales staff to get a new piece for me immediately cos I want to freaking go back home and sleep. It costs me FREAKING S$228.00 after discount. I told myself it’s going to be worth it. I told Teni that if it works, I am going to blog about it the next day. I tried the first day, I tried to convince myself that maybe I was tired and it was not the TEMPUR pillow that made me sleep. Second day, still not convince. 1 week later, I started to feel the difference. I started to realise that I didn’t toss and turn for the past 1 week. I started to realise that I didn’t have any stiff neck or stiff shoulder unless my menses is coming.

I am now convinced. Super convinced. I am freaking satisfied with my purchase, it’s worth paying S$228 for such pillow. It comes with 3 year warranty and if ever the foam sink in more than 2 CM, please, you are welcome to return it to them and they will do one – on – one exchange without any charges. Next, I will aim for the mattress! If you had watch YES MAN acted by Jim Carrey, you will notice that TEMPUR mattress was tested with a glass of wine by Jim Carrey himself. Ok lah, I shall not waste anymore time.
